Volunteer Opportunities

Experience changing exhibitions, meet artists, be a vital part of our community through public service. Our volunteer force is essential to the success of the Fresno Art Museum. All training is provided and flexible shifts are available. Ages 16 and over are encouraged to participate.

Qualifications for volunteer opportunities include:

  • Ability to work well with people of all ages
  • Good verbal communications skills
  • Responsibility to fulfill arranged time commitment
Positions Available
Become a Docent
  • Become a member of the Docent Council
  • Attend education sessions and meet artists each new exhibit
  • Conduct tours of the Museum and Sculpture Garden
  • Attend Docent-only special events
  • Make group trips to artists studios and other museums
Gift Shop Assistant
  • Stock and price new merchandise
  • Assist visitors with purchases
  • Maintain displays as requested
