When are ArtLink workshops held?
ArtLink workshops can be scheduled Tuesday through Friday, except during museum exhibition changes, in the galleries or in the Rotary ChildSpace. Contact us for availability.
What happens when I bring my class to FAM for an ArtLinkfield trip?
During your FAM field trip, students will be led by an ArtLink Instructor and actively engage in a creative learning experience. Your class will have an engaging and interactive guided tour of the exhibitions and participate in an interactive art workshop related to one of the exhibitions. Each lesson is designed to provide students with a fun educational experience, which allows self-expression through different art media. Each studio workshop produces a take-home piece of student artwork for every participant.
Does the lesson conform to state standards?
Each ArtLink lesson is grade appropriate and addressedthe California Visual Arts Standards. Art Link allows the children to make connections with what they saw and experienced in the museum galleries to creating their own work of art, making the whole museum experience more meaningful. Most lessons incorporate the seven elements of art: line, shape, form, texture, value, and color.
How much does it cost?
ArtLink field trip costs are as follows: (Maximum of 40 students)
20 Students and Under: $60
21 Students - 30 Students : $90
31 Student - 40 Students : $120
For every 5 students, 1 teacher or chaperone is free.
Cancellations will be refunded only if a school representative calls 72 hours beforethe scheduled ArtLink session.
How do I schedule an ArtLink field trip?

Teacher’s name
School or organization’s name
Address, phone number, fax number, & e-mail address
Date of field trip and two alternate dates
Number of students, number of chaperones/teachers, and grade level
