The Mesoamerica Traveling Trunk Program (MTTP) is a magical six-week in-classroom, traveling exhibition that takes your students on a journey to the ancient lands and civilizations of Mesoamerica, ending with a compelling look into the lives of today's contemporary Latino artists.
Accelerated Hands-on Education
Each unit acts as a bridge linking the Pre-Columbian artisans, traditions, and civilization of Mesoamerica to the contemporary native cultures of Mexico, Central America, and the United States.
Each trunk comes with a Latino Art & Culture bilingual study guide, three complete videos, and audio programs with teacher guides. Also included are teacher and student reading materials, discussion questions, bilingual vocabulary, assessment tools, eight Pre-Columbian replicas and many captivating how-to-do bilingual classroom art projects and interactive bilingual take-home assignments.
How will it help me in the classroom?
MTTP program accelerates and sustains proficiency while supporting and addressing California State Standards in Social Studies, Language Arts, English as a Second Language, Math, and Science.
How much is it to rent a trunk?
MTTP is $125.00 for six-weeks, which includes all the above, teacher training, and onsite visits from our MTTP educators.
