The Fresno Art Museum in partnership with the Mexican Consulate of Fresno is presenting the fourth annual artist in residence program. Interaction between Oaxaca’s Museum in Mexico and Fresno’s contemporary museum, the program offers the opportunity for studio interaction between two artists, Mexican painter Arian Dylan and Fresno born Quinn Gomez-Heitzeberg. Both young artists have demonstrated their ability to look forward to promising careers in the arts. The residency provides a forum for interaction and the exchange of contemporary ideas between artists of neighboring countries.

Julie Harcos and John Huneke of Stone House in Dunlap will welcome the two artists for their first week offering the opportunity of studio and living space in California’s foothills at Dunlap. The following weeks will find the artists at work in the Fresno Art Museum’s studio space culminating in an exhibition opening on Friday, October 10 through Sunday, November 2, 2008. Arian and Quinn will present a “Conversation with the Artists” at 4:00 pm on Friday, October 10 followed by an opening reception hosted by the Museum.
