The Latino Film Festival debuts in the Central Valley!

(12/4/2007) The Fresno Art Museum held the first Latino Film Festival in November. The Film Festival showcased films from throughout Latin America and also featured some locally produced short films. The Opening Reception brought community supporters from throughout the Valley. Closing day featured an awards presentation to local film producers for their short film entries. Awards were given based on creativity, cinematography, and artistic, cultural, or philosophical value. Carlos Gaviria received the award for Best Film for the film Milagro en la Red.

FAM would like to thank all the sponsors, patrons and participants that helped make this inaugural event a success and we look forward to bringing more cultural awareness in the media of cinema and highlighting the wonderful talent in our local community. Stay tuned for next year’s Latino Film Festival!
