The Fresno Art Museum is proud of the progress made toward achieving the goals of our three year Strategic Plan.

  1. Enhance Access, Visibility and Community Engagement
    • Change free day from Tuesday to Sunday, increasing weekend attendance
    • Received IMLS Grant of $150K – Latino Outreach
    • Strengthen relationships with media partners
    • Explore opportunities with rural communities
    • Community Partnership
  2. Create and Deliver Great Art and Cultural Experiences
    • 24 Exciting Exhibits – Museum Visitors over 22,000
    • Second Annual Contemporary – Contemporaneo Artist in Residence Program – Opening Reception attracted close to 300 people.
    • Traveling Trunk Program – close to 5,000 children served throughout Fresno, Madera and Tulare County
    • After School Enrichment Program – Provided over 12,000 Units of Service, Just under 6,000 children
    • Family Day – Over 1000 served
    • Summer Art Academy – 90 Children Served
    • Art Link – Over 1400 Children Participating in Tours
    • Rhythms of Art – 470 Attendees
    • Art Under the Stars – Over 1,200 people
    • Films at FAM – Over 300 people
    • ArtSmart – Trained 558 Teachers/Educators
    • Close to 40,000 People Served by FAM Annually
  3. Value, Preserve and Exhibit FAM’s Permanent Collection
    • Seven Exhibits from the Permanent Collection
    • Restructured Acquisition Policy
    • De-acquisition of Permanent Collection
    • Four Exhibits at FAM/Arte Americas Gallery
    • Exploring other remote sites
  4. Establish Strategic Partnerships that Compliment FAM’s Mission and Vision
    • Exploring partnership outside Fresno County
    • Educational Institutions – Summer Arts; 21st Century After School Programs; Fresno County Office of Education
    • Art/Cultural Institutions – Arte Americas; Fresno Folklore Society; Fresno Poets Association; Club Latino Americana;
    • Fresno County Public Library
    • Tamajavi Festival/Pan Valley Institute
