Testimonials from the first session of classes offered in December 2020:

"Wow! What an amazing class and experience. My mother, who is 76 years old and has never drawn in her life is now drawing! Thank you Sanking for your humble manner in teaching such complex material. Your kindness and talent shows through the camera. I will be on the lookout for more classes."

Sanking is an excellent teacher. Learning about drawing at this basic level is exactly what I needed. Thanks so much for offering the class.

About the Instructor for the Virtual Class on the Formal Elements

Sanking Saephan is a figurative artist from Fresno, California. He attended CSU Fresno where he attained his B.A. in Studio Art. His work explores his identity as a second-generation Asian-American and how both facets, Asian and American, form his perspective on the world. Primarily through painting and drawing, Sanking enjoys improving and developing his technique to become a better artist.

He has been an art instructor at FAM since February 2020. His art knowledge and communication skills are exceptional. Anyone who takes this class will walk away with more tools and understanding about the art process upon completion.

A week long portrait class taught by Sanking will be scheduled in early 2021.
