African-American Historical & Cultural Museum of the San Joaquin Valley - A cultural museum providing learning experiences through exhibitions focused on the African-American experience and local culture.

Armenian Museum of Fresno - A viewing center of international and local fine art and photography. Collects and exhibits historical artifacts. Educational venue for Armenian-American history.

Arte Américas - The largest Latino cultural center in California's Central Valley hosts exhibitions, concerts, and more. Arte maintains a Partnership Gallery with the Fresno Art Museum inside their facility located at 1630 Van Ness in downtown Fresno.

Big Fresno Fair - The Big Fresno Fair runs during the month of October. This is a great time for everyone. Enjoy horse racing, exhibitors, concerts, food and more.

Chaffee Zoo - The zoo is located inside Roeding Park, which is conveniently situated one block east of Highway 99 between Olive Ave. and Belmont Ave. in Fresno, California. They are open from 9 am to 4 pm.

Children’s Storybook Garden & Museum - Provides a children’s literature- themed garden inviting children for a lifetime of reading and playing in each area of the garden.

Clovis Museum and Clovis-Big Dry Creek Historical Society - Collecting, preserving, and promoting the historic heritage of the Clovis community and educating the public about its historical significance.

Clovis Rodeo - The Clovis Rodeo receives national attention every year. With some of the best food and bull riding money can buy, attending the rodeo is a fun way to spend the day.

Clovis Veterans Memorial District / Community Heritage Center - An educational center that uses rotating exhibits and technology to preserve and present regional history with a focus on veterans. 

Downing Planetarium - Located on the campus of Fresno State University. The Planetarium is fun for all ages. Stop by and look around.

Eastern Fresno County Historical Society Museum - Preserves knowledge and artifacts from eastern Fresno County about mining, logging, ranching, Native heritage, hydroelectric development, and cultural development.

Forestiere Underground Gardens - Be amazed by this most unique garden built entirely underground.

Fresno Ballet Theater - This company is part of the Valley Performing Arts Council and focuses on classical performances for children. The company stages the Nutcracker every holiday season as well as other performances throughout the year.

Fresno/Clovis Convention & Visitor's Bureau - If you are visiting or relocating to the Fresno and Clovis area, you may find this website as a useful resource. 

Fresno County Historical Museum - Friends of the Big Fresno Fair - The Fresno County Historical Museum is focused on telling the rich history of Fresno County and the people that call Fresno County home. 

Fresno County Historical Society/Kearney Mansion - Engaging, informing, and educating the public through the collection, preservation, and interpretation of local stories, images, and artifacts to better understand our past and help shape our future.

Fresno Discovery Center 
- Igniting curiosity and imagination in Central Valley youth by providing hands-­on STEAM experiences through interactive and live animal exhibits, brains-on programming, and outdoor gardens, playground, and pond.

Fossil Discovery Center of Madera - The Center features a mock dig and exhibits of Ice Age animals that were discovered in a nearby landfill at Fairmead in 1993, including a Columbian Mammoth and other fossils. 

Fresno Philharmonic - The Fresno Philharmonic strives to present high-quality, live orchestral music to audiences throughout the San Joaquin Valley.

Fresno State Sports - Fresno takes pride in their collegiate sports. Enjoy football, baseball, basketball, softball and more. Every year, Fresno State athletics are among the nation's best.

Imagine U Children’s Museum - ImagineU strives to inspire the valuing of imagination and play as tools for education and life, nurturing future leaders, dreamers, scientists, farmers, artists, teachers. A place of possibilities and promise.

Kearney Mansion Museum - Tour the turn-of-the-20th century Kearney Mansion Museum (also known as the Superintendent’s Lodge) that was the ranch headquarters of Kearney’s Fruit Vale Estate. Experience the grounds of Kearney's 1890s landscape  - perfect for a family picnic or leisurely walk.  The hour-long tour of the Superintendent’s Lodge includes a visit to our newly opened Gallery and the Ranch Kitchen.

Madera Wine Trail - It's the Valley's best kept secrets - working wineries just a few minutes drive from downtown Madera and just across the river from Fresno.

Meux Home Museum - One of the prime houses in terms of historical and architectural significance is the Meux family home at the northwest corner of Tulare and R Streets.

Mural District - Discover Fresno's vibrant and lively art scene that has emerged in its urban core. 

Museum of the Sierra - Founded in 1991 by the Central Sierra Historical Society, The Museum preserves the cultural and natural history of the Sierra Nevada through education and curation of historical artifacts and stories.

Playland - Playland provides affordable family fun for the current generation of kids – big and small. We hope to ensure Storyland and Playland are places where learning, laughter and lightheartedness are always in the air well into the future. (Next to Storyland and Fresno Chaffee Zoo.)

Reedley Museum - The Museum features exhibits around early 1900s life in southern Fresno County, a collection ofantique farm equipment distinctive to Reedley’s past, and an exceptional collection of Yokuts American Indian artifacts.

Rogue Festival - Every late February/early March performers come from all over the world to entertain the local community and visitors in various venues in Fresno's Tower District. It's a week of theater, music, dance, comedy, magic, poetry, performance art, fun, and complete fringe performance madness.

Shinzen Japanese Garden - The Shinzen Japanese Garden is located within Fresno's Woodward Region Park. The entrance to the park is located on Audubon Drive, just off of Friant Road. Pack a lunch and enjoy your day at the park.

Storyland - Step into a world where fairy tales and nursery rhymes come to life. Walk through Storyland where you are surrounded by classic childhood favorites such as Mother Goose, Jack and Jill, Alice in Wonderland and more!  (Next to Playland and Fresno Chaffee Zoo.)

Tower District - Full of restaurants, shops, and local hotspots, the Tower District is a great place to check out.

Tulare County Museum - The Museum houses one of California’s largest Native American basket collections, pioneer-era artifacts, agriculture equipment, restored buildings, and other treasures that tell the history of Tulare County.

Valley Performing Arts Center - Valley Performing Arts Council is committed to sharing the beauty, wisdom and truth of the classical arts with area youth dancers and school children. By including local dancers in ballet performances and assuring that thousands of students participate as audience members, VPAC exposes young minds and hearts to the sights and sounds of the classical arts.
